Day breaks;
The sun rises over the hills behind me.
Birds sing;
A celebration of glory and beauty and life.
Children play;
Laughing and happy in the warm summer sun.
I cry;
None of this has any meaning without you.
You're gone;
You found another who makes you happy.
I tried;
I wanted to love you for all eternity.
I failed;
None of my efforts were good enough for you.
I grieve;
This sadness threatens to overwhelm my soul.
But I live;
And in living I know that I'll find Love again.
